Migrate Sent Fax Records

Use Case: We are migrating historical data from one org to another. Sent Fax records created with the Opero Fax app are included with the historical fax data. We do not want any faxes to be sent as it is just historical records. How do we properly migrate these records?

For the Sent Fax records that you will migrate, ensure that the following field values are set:

• Status field does not equal “Sending” or “Generating Coversheet”.
• Sent With Outbound Message equals “false”.

Also follow best practices by turning off all workflows, flows, and disable triggers. Disable fax automation according to the method that the org uses for fax automation with Opero Fax.

• Fax automation based on attachments: Disable this feature by going to Fax Config tab and deselect “Enable Auto-Send Faxes” (set to “false”).
• Fax automation based on creating a Sent Fax record: Deactivate the following workflows: “Send_Fax_Attachment” and “Send_Fax_Multiple_Attachment”.
