Unfortunately, Google Docs doesn’t support password-protected documents. Your account password is considered the security for your account, Drive, and documents.
However you can modify the sharing and security settings on the actual google doc. See this article for more information: https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2494893?hl=en&ref_topic=7000947.
Opero Documents uses Google Docs to build and configure document templates. There is a direct connection between your Salesforce org and your Google Drive account that you authorize. Your data and documents communicates securely between Salesforce and Google. You can configure your Salesforce org permissions and processes to meet HIPAA requirements as well as your Google Drive.
One setting you want to set in the document action in Opero Documents should set the Google Doc to be Private. Google Drive can support HIPPA compliance, see this Google article: https://support.google.com/a/answer/3407054?hl=en
You may also optionally enable a feature to delete the Google Doc after generated if desired to not retain any data in your google drive after the document generation. Then all data is stored in your Salesforce org.
You can use the “filter” feature in the document action if you would like to merge only open activities. Task activities are based on Status there is a flag IsClosed <> TRUE which will show open activities. Then for event activities, its Date so if date is in future, it will be an “open activity.” So you would need to base your filter on this logic.
Install the app as normal from AppExchange into Production. Then create a “Change Set” with your configurations in Sandbox (or different Production org) to deploy to production. You will need to import your Document Action records since they are records, not metadata.

Any user that will be creating templates/document actions or generating documents will need to be a licensed user. This includes generating documents with a button or also if they are a running user for automation that will generate documents. If other Salesforce users only need access to the generated document (i.e. another user clicked button to generate), then they can access the documents without a license.
This can’t be done automatically in Google Docs, but the column border can be manually dragged to the right until the content fits on one line. It just needs to be grabbed with the cursor and dragged. Be aware, however, that the next column will be narrowed when the border is dragged, so the other column borders will have to be adjusted as well, if necessary.

It is best to create a separate Document Action and then remove the entire body of the Google Docs template, then add each merge field one at a time until you get error.
